Ryan's Bio…
An independent singer-songwriter born and raised in Scott City, Missouri. A small town on I-55 between Saint Louis and Memphis.
Ryan began experimenting with songwriting in 2001. Recording a handful of demos on a 4 track digital recorder. Though, soon after he started a family and a career in manufacturing. Little time was available for songwriting. The next 20+ years were spent experiencing life’s ups, downs, twists and turns. Slowly, life's experiences filled his songwriting well. It’s come time it’s drawn from.
In 2023 Ryan left factory work to focus on music. First obtaining a “Certificate in Songwriting” from Musicians Institute of Hollywood, CA. Then “The Art of Songwriting Certificate” from Belmont University of Nashville, TN. He is also an active participant in the Nashville chapter of the Nashville Songwriting Association International (NSAI).
Making regular trips to Nashville, for conferences, workshops, pitch events, and networking opportunities.
Songwriter influences include: John Fogerty, Jim Morrison, Tom Petty, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Michael Stipe, Chris & Rich Robinson, Chris Cornell, Eddie Veddar, Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlisle, Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakum.
He is also greatly influenced by early 90’s grunge and alternative rock era. (High school yrs 1992-1996)
Ryan currently lives in Benton, Missouri. He continues to be active with NSAI, and is recording his songs in his home studio. Ryan plans to move to Nashville in the near future.
